DURATION of SICK LEAVE AFTER WHIPLASH INJURY BY EMPLOYER

I have assessed the amount of time taken off after whiplash-type injuries by patients of similar age and sex but differing employers.  In my own personal series of over five thousand whiplash cases that I have examined records on, I find that those who are self-employed on average take four days off sick after a car accident, those who are employed by small companies [less than ten employees] take on average twelve days off work, those employed by large companies on average take approximately sixty days off work, whereas those employed by the National Health Service or local Councils take on average two hundred and thirty days off sick in apparently identical age and sex, distribution and identical injuries with no previous injury and no predisposing factors to vulnerability.

I do, however, believe in Whiplash Syndrome  as  I have suffered three rear end collisions whilst stationary !!
